Temporarily Closing Masjid Operations per California State Mandate (COVID-19)

Asalamo alikom dear Muslims,

The governor of California has ordered a  new wave of closures effective today.  As Coronavirus positive rates and hospitalizations continue to rise, 30 counties are now required to close indoor operations for worship places.

In compliance with this order, the Islamic Society of Santa Rosa board along with Sheik Abouelabbas have reached the decision of closing all of its branches including but not limited to:

  1. Jummah prayer
  2. All 5 daily prayers
  3. Islamic Sunday school
  4. Any private and/or public gatherings,  until the new closures have been lifted

Insha Allah we will keep you informed with any developments in regards to resuming our worship and business activities at the Masjid.

We ask everyone to comply and respect the new closure order, in order to be a part of protecting the health of our community and the greater community of Sonoma County.

We ask Allah to protect us and all the people from this fatal disease and grant us the strength and patience to go through this difficult time.

Jazakumu Allahu Khairan in advance for your cooperation.

Masjid board.
